How can we develop the technological sector and achieve major improvements of financial business fields and processes or even automise the latter completely? How does Industry 4.0 shape the financial/ the insurance industry as well as the legal sector of tomorrow? To tackle these challenges the Frankfurt School, the Executive MBA Program, the EXCON Services and fintus are organising the second EXCON & FINTUS & FRANKFURT SCHOOL-MAINTECH Startup Summit at the 11th of April 2019 in Frankfurt/Main.
A pitch event on which start-ups, students and alumni are able to present their bright, innovative and disruptive FinTech, InsurTech and LawTech business ideas and introduce themselves to their field.
Submit your idea and present it in either German or English to our jury at the new Frankfurt School campus and win one of three attractive prizes to start a business on your own! We award 5.000€ for the 1st, 3.000€ for the 2nd and 2.000€ for the 3rd prize. All finalists get the opportunity to pitch their idea in front of employers and potential investors. On top of that, all participants will seize the chance to enlarge their business network through fintus’ FinTech partners also present at the event.

SUBMISSION
EVALUATION
The pitch evaluation consists of three phases. The jury will choose the best ideas from the submitted applications according to their comprehensibility, innovation power and marketability.
On April 11th, the teams invited will present one by one for 3 minutes each. The attending audience will cast their vote via TED after each presentation. Out of the original teams the top teams will be selected for the finals. The finalist teams then are expected to present their idea again during the second presentation block, in a more detailed manner followed by a 5-minute Q & A session. The voting is done once again via TED but this time by the professional jury.
The participants will be notified of the results in a transparent way on the very event stating the project / the product name and the achieved score.
"Being part of Maintech Startup Summit means being part of an event which is indeed competitive, but it is way more than that. It's about sharing ideas, proving your concept and working on your personal skills at the same time. It's about having fun together and being with likeminded people. My suggestion, apply and try, there is nothing to lose but a lot to win.”
(Tom Richter, student of Frankfurt School)
The participation is open to current / exchange students and alumni of Frankfurt School as well as any other university situated in the Rhein-Main area, start-up companies and anyone else willing to present their brilliant idea in front of an audience. All necessary documents can be submitted in either German or English and have to include the following content:
-
One pdf page (10 slides max.) to introduce your business idea / product and its innovational power
-
A short introduction of yourself
The jury members will receive the documents as a .zip file in an email. For any questions during the process, please contact us via the following form.
